Hello, I'm Brenda.

I am new to this forum and really don't use forums in general.

So, about me. I am a 41 y/o woman. I'm an EMT and Firefighter (part time) and a medical tech in a doctors office (full time).

At the moment I own 3 campers. Two hybrids (2004 Aerolite CUB 236 and a 2001 jayco kiwi 21c) and a really old 1983 Coachmen C-185 XL popup.

So, I guess I am really in this world at the moment.

So, here is the deal and where I need help,
I need to discuss a complete camper body frame repair and floor replacement for the 2004 Aerolite that I bought today.

So, can someone please direct me to the best area of the forum to discuss such a thing?

Also, thank you for having me. I'm sure we will have a lot to talk about.

Welcome to the forum. You definitely have a variety of rigs.

The best way to get an idea of where to go is to go to the first page and click the search block in the green line just below where it says welcome and your name. Select show posts after you enter Aerolite. I just did and there is a bunch of discussion on this rig. Open he threads that comeback and see what sub forum they are in. I did not go to the various responses but you will see the best place to go that way.

There is lot to see here so don't limit yourself. Check out the vintage rig forums as well as the general topics of remodeling and such. Lots of good ideas that you can apply to yours.

Hope you find your way and if not, just drop another note. Once you get started, you will see it becomes easier.

1st of all - Welcome!
I think where you started this thread will work just fine for now, at least.
I hope you don't mind me making a few suggestions:
I think I would start by making a complete assessment of the overall condition & costs. Only if you're comfortable with the time and expense - do I believe you should proceed.
First - weatherproof the exterior, (roof, slide seals, door & windows, air conditioner seal, etc.)
Then tackle the floor repair/replacement. After that, make sure all plumbing & fixtures are in good working order & sealed properly. Then all the internal components, (including holding tanks & valves).
Outside, check the coupler, wiring, ligjts, tongue jack, battery(s),brakes, wheel bearings, seals, tires & wheels, leaf springs, hangers, & suspension bushings/bolts.
(You mentioned the frame....I'd check that. thoroughly during the assessment phase).
(I probably missed some things that others might catch & suggest.)
It will be fun to follow your progress.

Brenda - start a new thread or ask the mods to change the title of this one.

Name the thread "2004 Aerolite CUB 236 Rebuild" and post pictures of the current state of the trailer to give folks an idea of your project.

Also, tell folks how you will do the work. Will you do the repair, have a professional shop do it, or contract with a set of specialists to fix the issues? That will help give them an idea of the information you need.

You also might consider what materials you want to use. The objective of repairing it enough to use, can be much different from the approach taken to upgrading the coach to be a "best" solution.

Keep the thread in this section of the forum, because you want the widest number of folks seeing it, so they can help.
