School me on boondocking voltage?
Hello from California. Noob here trying to figure out if I need new batteries?
TT is a keystone Springdale 19 foot. 2008.
Dual GC 6v Trojan 105.
When plugged in battery shows 13.7, but in about a hour it will drop and stabilize at 12.7.
24 hours later with mild use, it's 12.6 to 12.5. I can squeeky another 24 hours and drops to 12.4.
Is this normal?
Mild usage, 2 showers. Heng bath fan. About 3 hours of running led lights. Not running the furnace.
Water heater and fridge are on propane.

If I read your post right you can go about 2.5 days before needing to recharge the batteries. In my mind that is pretty good. You say from a full charge you go 24 hours easy and can squeak out another 24 hours. That is 2 days plus some. I think that is pretty good.
Normal boondockers run their generater everyday for a few hours.

Yes very normal, sounds like good batteries.
12.7 is battery voltage, with no charging or things drawing from it. Called resting voltage.
Anything above 12.7 is either charging voltage or surface charge when the charger is off.
12.4 volts is about 50% discharged.

Thank you for the information. I've been boondocking in the backyard to see how long we can go on batteries lol.
We have a Honda 2000i Genny.

Btw the trailer is used so are the batteries is why I asked. Good to know the batteries are good to go!

I forgot to ask, is there any indication when the batteries were put into service?
Like what month/year are they?
And great idea to test in the back yard.[emoji106]

Attached table estimates SoC from voltage for a lead acid battery bank at rest - without charging active and no or lighly loaded.

I can't read the stamping. Seems to be different years as the caps are different.

I don't let my Lifeline AGM's get below 12.2 under load so that's what my AGS is set at.

If I may add, do your self a favour and get a hydrometer, check cell voltage and water levels. That’s just part of wet cell maintenance.
Other than that, sounds about on par. Especially if no solar or generator to put back in.

Sounds like your batteries are in good shape and your power usage is low. You might find different power usage when you are actually living away from the driveway. You want to be careful not to let you batteries to go below 50% too often or you will lose capacity. Consider adding some solar panels or a generator.
