Seam sealer

Recommendations for sealing seams on roof. My TT has a pvc roof and looking for recommendations for roof sealant. Dicot lap sealant, a rubberized coating or something else. Currently it appears to have the dicor applied. On my last TT I used the rubberized coating for the entire roof.

I sealed my seams with eternabond tape. Works great but be careful. When it sticks, it sticks to whatever it touches.

Dicore every year.. eternabond tape once.. dicore fast and forgiving.. eternabond slow and once.. hit you tube.. then you decide.. many great vids on rv roofs there
Either way.. get sealed before winter.. or wait.. if you can.. for eternabond tape it needs to be warm..
Good luck and let us know what you did and maybe better members then me will help you

A PVC roof has different sealant requirements than TPO, or EDPM. Make sure you check with the manufacturer.

Ours has the LaSalle Bristol PVC roof.

I checked the seams when I washed the trailer didn’t see any cracks so do you apply once a year regardless or only if you see cracks? Seems applying yearly would cause build up.

Seam sealer

Washing and inspecting your roof 2 to 3 times a year is one of the most important steps of owning an RV.

Look for cracks, lifting on the edges, and anything else that doesnít look right. If all looks good, then you are done.

While youíre up there look for small cracks in the skylight, and plastic vents. Also, you can check the AC for contact on the bottom with the seal. Give a slight lift to make sure the tie down bolts arenít coming loose. These bolts should be just snug, never too tight.

It always best to have a tube of XTRM sealant, or whatever your manufacturer recommends for the roof, laying around for when itís needed.
