No experience, but be prepared for a super lowball number.

Tried to sell my Phaeton to CW they said thanks but no. But then the sales rep called me later and said hey, a buddy of mine is interested. Here is is number give him a call.

No fee due or paid to CW. The buyer was a small independent repair shop who most likely has an agreement to take CW's cast offs. Either way it worked out for me

There is a country song titled "Just give it away". That's what will be happening if you sell to CW.
I would try a consignment at a non CW dealer or an ad on CL or EBAY. If you are unfamiliar with their process's there are folks that will take pics and write descriptions for modest fees.

I had a 2013 trailer that was in great condition, it was not used very much. The local RV dealer said a 2013 was too old. I sold it to a friend.

You will not get top dollar, but how much will you really miss out on? You probably don’t have the ability to finance a buyer or accept a trade. That eliminates many buyers. Then how good a salesperson are you and what will it cost you in time and money to be the seller. Every day you don’t sell is another day for it to go down in value, insurance costs continue and if you have it financed or stored those costs continue as well.
Then there is the time, trouble and risk involved. You have to have strangers come to your home or you have to travel to the storage place. Often the buyer never shows. How much is your time worth?
I have sold both autos and RVs to dealers . I like the no hassle, no waiting, get on with life convenience and I never felt I left a huge amount of easy money on the table.

No dealer is going to give you very much on a straight cash purchase and I don't think Camping World is going to be any better or worse than some other dealer.

No dealer can afford to buy any used RV for more than 30% below book, and that’s if it’s in A-1 condition and can be turned around without repairs. If you’re trading it for a new RV, that’s the most you’ll get on the trade, unless the dealer is hiding some margin on the new unit.

I avoid Camping World if at all possible unless I need some odd part same day. Any place that requires I make an appointment and give them all my personal info just in order to view their inventory will never make an RV sale with me.

Wonderful.
Maybe I’ll drive up and sell my Horizon to them. It’s only 2 hours away.

Good to hear. I used to work at Camping World long ago. They are in business to make a profit, just as everyone else running a business. The only thing that matters in the end is how you feel about the transaction.

I purchased a 2021 Entegra Odyssey for 87k and sold it to Camping World a year later for 80k. I think I just hit at the right time and had something they really wanted.

I was certainly pleased.

Yep,we did. They started out saying one price, then found fault with everything. They said we have to fix this and this and this, etc. They finally got the price down $5000. The RV was only 3 years old and in great shape with very little actually wrong with it. We did sell it to them because we just wanted to be done with it, but if you want a fair deal, Do NOT go to them. By the way, our RV is listed on their site now at twice what they gave us and in all the pictures they show, NOTHING they said they had to fix was done. Even things that should have been done were not fixed. Like the recliners. Those should have been replaced. One was ripped on the back and does not recline, but sticks out. You can see it is still the same in the pictures on their website. It looks awful. Apparently, they get the price down by saying all the things they need to fix, but then put it up for sale without doing a thing. I would never buy anything from them.
