First image is our normal travel mode.

Second image is a trip to riding in AZ this spring. Since I could haul 4 machines we only had to take 2 rigs vs the 3-4 we were planning.

Have you checked to make sure you are within your payload ratings?

....and I thought I had too much truck for my load!

In semi seriousness, with the SxS in the trailer we were right at/just over axel weight of the trailer. This is one of the reasons we went HDT, to get the SxS onto the truck.

While the trailer is 17k, and well within the ratings of my 1 ton dually, the increased maintenance adds up. The HDT was 1/2 the price of my Chevy, gets the same milage pulling and when I do have to do maintenance the cost is typically about 2x however the longevity is 4-6x longer.

I am about 42k fully loaded. The one of the coolest parts is being able to pull hills here in the PWN at normal speeds. On one of the large passes we go over on a regular basis I am at 65 mph, at 1,3500 RPMs and can easily accelerate if needed/wanted.

Coming out of the unseen rv cover to the right and around to the front of the house. Fine trip as long as there has not been four inches of rain in the last 24 hours! The route is now amended with crushed limestone that helps a lot.
