Slide moves 6" and stops

Our daughters 2016 Coleman 297re has an issue with the galley slide .

She has lived in it for the last year while her new house was being built .

Now ready to sell the TT , but the right side ( galley ) slide will only retract 6" than stops . It will go back out , then we can start to retract again , but stops .

We can hear the motor engage , but when it stops the motor also stops .

It doesn't appear to be the motor , as it runs for a very short time after the slide stops moving .

We've checked the rollers and confirmed nothing is physically in the way of the slide moving .

Any ideas on where to look for what's causing the issue will be greatly appreciated .

How is your battery (batteries)? Are you strictly running on 12vdc, or are you also connected to shore power ( convertor on and charging)?

GPCPL ,

Thanks for the quick reply .

Batteries are fully charged with shore power connected .

It appears there's no problem with the power , since the left side slide is operating properly with no problems .

Could the motors being out of sync cause the problem ?

I'm not familiar with your slide setup, but would imagine that motors being out of sync would most likely result in binding. If you can find out which slide system your dealing with, Hopefully you'll be able to find the motor syncing procedure. Sorry I can't be of more help, but I wish you luck with your problem.
I remember my large slide used to struggle on the original 2 - 12volt batteries. Changed to 4- 6volts and no trouble since.

What kind of slide is it?? Is it in the wall with a track at the top and bottom on the outside?? IF it is, extend all the way back out and hold the button until you no longer hear anything running/moving. That will sync the motors (if that is the problem). Let me know....
