Slide out has shifted.

My TT is a 2014 rockwood 2608WS. As i was sliding the living area slide out, my flat screen caught on the slide as it was going by it, breaking it and shifting slide towards the front of trailer. It now is off center of the opening of trailer. Does it just push over or did something come off its track? Slides in and out fine, just not centered therefore daylight comes through on one side.
Thanks for any info.

Depends on the slide system you have.

Have you tried to push it back to center?

Might need some additional muscle to do this.

I would work on getting it back to square or you will eventually have some type of failure like I did...

Someone once posted that they brought their offending off center slide out just an inch so no seals or gaskets were touching. Then while going in reverse slowly hit the brakes and the slide moved back to center. His slide was most likely off center forward from a hard braking stop or two.

The first time we used the slide on our 2604ws we hit the TV and broke it. No slide damage but we always strap the TV to the wall now.

Mine has done the same thing. It has shifted to the front of the camper. Now it is making a loud noise that sounds like it is hit something every 3 Inches. Waiting on the mobile RV repair to here and fix. I will let you know what he does. PS I tried to move the slide back but to heavy.

On my 5th wheel my kitchen slide caught on a kitchen drawer. I heard the crunch and immediately stopped but it was too late. The slide was centered but it was like it skipped a tooth. Nothing I could do to get it right. I took it to my dealer. They added a few strips of foam insulation and told me they fixed it...ugh. I needed the trailer a raised a medium stink then paired and took the trailer.

Trailer ownership is not for the faint of heart.
