Will it come back in? And if there are two people, one person can work the toggle for the slide and one person can be watching outside as the slide is coming out. Maybe they will see a problem.
Repeat a few times because there are at least two underneath slide mechanisms to watch.

It won't move in or out and seems like there isn't any power to the switch

Check for a blown fuse next. Is the slide a in the frame type "large slide" or the smaller "top of floor" type?
Next I would check for a loose wire / connector at the switch. Unscrew the face plate on the switch cover to make sure connector is on good. If you have inside access to the slide motor, check to see if one of those connectors came loose or since it's 15 years old maybe a little corrosion on the connector contacts.

Agree, check for a blown fuse or a tripped breaker. Sounds like no electricity now. Probably went out 1 foot them blew a fuse or tripped a breaker.

After you check your fuses and breakers, make sure nothing is catching the slide on the inside. Our couch in our rear living room moved a 1/2 inch during traveling. The frame of the slide caught the couch and it stopped. The wife let off the switch as soon as it stopped so no fuses or breakers were tripped. Our TT is very tight with the slides in. It don't take much for something to get in the way.

I believe the best answer is 'yes'. A good battery may solve the problem.
For example, my trailer needs a good battery to work the landing gear. Even if it is plugged to a power source.
