Slide Topper support

Looking for products or ideas on how to support a living room slide topper, specifically to support the topper when it rains so that it will not sag and collect water.

Some put a inflated beach ball between slide top and topper.

One time while wintering in Yuma, AZ we observed a lot of slid toppers begin supported with ½ or 1 gallon empty milk or water jugs. Some - two or three together - were attached to poles so they could be slid under large toppers. The objective was to muffle or prevent the wind flapping noise.

Pool noodle, beach ball, most anything that will fit between slide roof and topper and raise it some. Or, you may need to tighten the springs in the rollers to keep the fabric pulled tight.
