Solid step handrail

Getting older always make you look at making things easier. Our Cougar is the first that has steps that go to the ground. Many plusses and a couple of minuses. Biggest minus was how far away from the trailer the first step is which makes it a gymnastic effort for my short wife to get a grip on the trailer side mounted handrail. Enter the step mounted handrail. For some reason, a major brain fart convinced me that the steps were Lippert. Ordered a handrail for their steps and after a two week wait they showed up. Nice kit, even has an extra set of pins for when I lose the first set. So far, so good. Reading over the instructions nothing looked familiar. Went out to the trailer to compare the pictures and nothing matched. Called Lippert and gave them the part number on the steps to see why there was so much that was different. They very nicely told me that was a MorRyde set of steps. Well, turns out it is easier to mount a Lippert handrail to MorRyde steps than it is to mount it to Lippert steps. Drill eight holes and put in eight stainless rivets. The Lippert handrail is adjustable and the MorRyde is not. For once, brain fart wins!
