My thought is Wyoming in the Summer is a great place to be. Nice and cool. But then not to Florida but to S. Arizona for the winter or even S. Texas. Florida is kinda expensive in the winter and 2,000 miles from Wyoming...at least to areas that stay warm(ish) in winter. The Panhandle is cold in the winter so you have to try to get to the middle of Florida at least. Orlando or south.
Florida has things that Texas or S. Arizona do not have. If you like the water lots of fresh water springs for swimming and kayaking on crystal clear water. Oceans on both sides if you like the beach.
