Your upgrades are great ! As a retired geisser i bow to you. So i hope if we get to set up next to you at the campground so i can but the put the hamburgers and hot dogs away for your steaks !
But i make great Hamburgers !!
Hey rideandslide, No offense taken at all. The camper we just sold was a 1982 Chevy Getaway Van. Paid $2000 for it ... sold it 5 years later for $1500. We loved that thing despite it it's idiosyncrasies. And yes it was time to change it but I set goals for when I can have certain things and that was to have no mortgage.

I have a rule, I don't buy anything like vehicles unless I pay it out right in one go. I HATE interest payments. It's crippling our society. A story for another day.

I know what it's like to be humble, I came to Canada with just $240 to my name in 2001. That's it. You have no idea the struggles ive gone through just so I can feed my stomach let alone buy anything outside of that.

I started my computer company in 2002 with practically my last $20!

Thankfully it paid off will a lot of hard hard hard work. My parents are dirt poor so there's no silver spoon for me, however, when things were bad, I can't deny wishing I had a silver spoon to fall back on.

My first car when I started my business, I dare not clean as I was convinced the rust was holding it together. How people stared and laughed at me. Yet I went on to buy cars where the rims cost $3200 EACH WHEEL. More expensive than some of the people's cars that laughed at my old rusty one.

Yes I could get a much fancier SUPERCAR tomorrow, yes I could live in a MUCH fancier home, but I choose to stay with my people in my neighborhood, the people that became my true friends. I'll chose people over material things any day of the week. That's what important to ME.

LOVE people and use things NEVER the other way around, was how I was raised. And I'm truly finding that the RV people are one of the most sincere and generous people I've ever come across. YOU are my kind of people. Totally down to earth!!

So i do know where you are coming from, and if I ever find that I have set up my TT next to yours, the honour is entirely MINE. Please come over for some lovely burgers and hot dogs because THAT is what I eat usually, and if I have ever have steak they will be shared too with you.

Never let anyone crush your dreams!

I don't think anyone would mind if you posted what you have done to your Ram, I know I would be interested. Up to you. Also, one of the best things I ever did to my Ram was put a Moroso oil/water catch can in. Works great.
Motor and camp on mi amigos!
No. A lot of stuff on my Camaro is not stock lol. Right down to the auto hiding license plate, knight rider lights, LED lighting, lambo doors, CAI, 3M protection and more.

I've often wondered if I should put an oil catcher in my truck. Is it really worth doing?

Hey Matrix

Just wanted to show you our outside air conditioning mod . we added to our GreyWolf a few years ago. Had to get one of or computer buddies to fiquire out the coefficients of wind speed to temperature to maximize cooling, plus the wiring required. Plus i know the humidity effects also, do you have a program for that ???

Know i mess with ya and bust your chops about money, but GREAT to have you on the Forum !

I got the 2016 Laramie Longhorn 1500, 5.7Hemi. I fell in Love with the brown stitched interior. I wanted the Limited but you are stuck with the black interior ONLY (COME ON DODGE THAT'S PATHETIC). The limited is lovely but I wanted the spectacular Longhorn interior.

So I ordered the Longhorn and upgraded everything to the Limited standard then the mods began as soon as it arrived...

See pics along with text below...

OK so the moment it arrived off the delivery truck, the tires were changed to ALL TERRAIN tires. Wanted the safety of the extra ply.

Changed the front chrome bumber (which always seems to be rusty on others I've seen) to the Outdoorsman body colour bumper (sports will not fit) and spray painted white to match.

Changed the front lights to the black smoked lights from the Sports model.

Changed the front cross bars to Outdoorsman and painted white.

Changed the grill to Outdoorsman to the black honeycomb.

Changed rear lights to the smoked lights from the Sports model.

Changed the rear bumber to the Sports body colour bumper and sprayed white.

After all the paint had time to cure, 3M'd the ENTIRE front, lights, hood, sides and partial rear.

Added a Hard top Back flip 3 folding tonneau cover and the space management system. Love this... so handy along with the Ram box.

Changed the chrome side bars to black chrome.

Changed badging to black logos.

Put in a K&N CAI system. Not sure how much HP this adds but boy do I love the growl.

Changed the licence plate to "MAXED" . Too bad you're not allowed to have private plates on a TT :(

Oh and of course. .. Its bagged with AIR RIDE

Will be putting an oil catcher in soon.

So that is it so far. Not much to the engine but it's not a sports car lol. And I've spent enough on those!! 😨😨
