Squirrel access?

Hello,
We have a 2019 Coachmen Apex travel trailer. Squirrels managed to invade our travel trailer this past spring (it has been at the dealer for the past 3 months waiting to be repaired and we FINALLY have it back home) and we are trying to figure out how they got in. They did eat the air conditioner, the bedroom curtain divider, bathroom air vent and the outside shower housing (inside). My husband examined the bottom of the trailer armed with copper wool and spray foam but he could not find anything that appeared to be an access point. Is it possible they gained access through the air conditioner? The air conditioner did need replaced and my husband is going to build a cover for it before we store it again for the winter. Are there any other places we should be inspecting as a possible access point for these rodents?

Holes in the bottom like plumbing access or electrical cables. Squirrels can make their own access hole if they think there is food or shelter inside. Even little ground squirrels can chew their own entry holes through 1.5 inch treated deck lumber.
A/C has a water drain from inside to outside. Otherwise in and out are completely separate. However, plastic panels are no barrier to squirrels.

Ours obtained entry thru the frig. exhaust on top of the RV. Made a screen & installed after removing the cap/cover...

Thanks, gmiller for that idea. My trailer has been sitting also and now I'll go on top and check that exhaust vent. I'll even go so far as to say that rats can get into (and make more) holes.

Those little buggers can get in almost anywhere if they're determined.
And determined they will be if they were born there. Yes, the roof ac sounds like a logical entry point.
Unfortunately there's only one solution once they know they can get in.
Large Victor rat traps and peanut butterwork well. Anchor them securely to a piece of plywood.

Actually a properly bent piece of wire mesh or expanded metal screen screwed into the structure will last forever with no reloading requirements

Peanut butter is the best! We used it to lure rats to traps in a feed mill!

A couple cats with access to the storage area will get rid of the squirrels.

Forget the rat traps.
I'd use live traps and start a catch and eat program!

This was my frig. exhaust. I made a screen out of a piece of metal gutter screen from HD.
Repair place found 5 dead baby squirrels inside.
