Storage Rental on a Budget

Hello,

This is my first post here so hopefully I'm in the right place. I just inherited my first travel trailer from my father who recently upgraded. The travel trailer is a 2005 Keystone Outback 28BHS that my wife and I intend to aggressively renovate it once we bring it home to Woodstoock, GA but I am having a hard time finding storage close to me where I can keep it and work on it over a few weekends. I refuse to pay the ridiculous storage prices at commercial facilities. Does anyone know how I could find someone that has some extra room on their property for short term storage needs? I've tried the Neigbor App but it doesn't look like it has a good sized following yet, thus yielding sparse results.

Storage lots are expensive so where are you going to keep the trailer when not in use after you get it fixed up?. If you do not own a few acres to keep it on your property you will be stuck paying $40 - $90 / month to store the trailer. It is a fact of life.

I am storing my trailer at my friends place who owns 11 acres. I pay him $25/mo.

Storing your stuff is not easy. If you had a pop-up it would fit in the garage if you have a garage. I have a Seadoo because it fits in the garage. A boat would be a PIA to try to store where I live now.

Good luck

If you have a lake or any state parks nearby, might try looking around there. I've seen several places near the state park where we go that are basically somebodies pasture where they allow boat and RV storage. Probably would be cheaper than a storage facility.

Also check the more rural RV parks, some of them have off season storage areas for snow birds, etc.
