Stove hood vent fan

My 1991 Jayco had a vent van over the stove that vented to the outside. I bought a 2013 Keystone Laredo 303TG last year. The hood vent doesn't vent outside. I saw a video on YouTube on how to cut one in. I have no doubt I have the skills to do it. Obviously would have to verify there is nothing in the wall, but wondering if anyone has my specific model and has tackled this project?

Many are made like yours now. Ours is the same way. I wouldn't worry over it so much that it led me to cut a hole in a perfectly good wall. That just makes another future leak and entrance for bugs. Just modify your cooking if its a concern. We use a convection cook top on the island most of the time as well as an Instant Pot, generates less heat inside than the stove, plus there's the Weber grill always at the ready just outside the door. Our stove top gets used mostly as a place to sit dishes to dry.

I have a totally different trailer, 2014 Chalet Takena 1860, but I did the same mod. This is our first trailer but we had a couple old campers in the 90's and they both had range hoods that vented to the outside. I went to a local RV supply place and got a outside vent hood, and they also had a sheet metal sleeve to go through the wall. I just went for it, but having owned a few boats, cutting holes above the waterline doesn't phase me too much. I just used the existing Hengs rangehood, I can't remember if there was an actual knockout or if I just cut a rear exit for it.

On my new Starcraft, it has a fridge vent cap on the roof, but it's a small model and the fridge is small so it's in a cabinet with a counter top on it and the ac is wall mounted above that, and neither the fridge or ac has anything to do with this vent. I imagine it's there just because they put it on all of them and maybe a different one may have a taller fridge that would utilize it.

If you do decide to add the outside vent, Fantastic fan makes a 3 speed, led light, quite fan replacement housing that with a little work, and using your original hood, will be a nice mod.....no need to turn tv up one bit!........butyl tape will also seal the outer vent....
