Strange water leak
I’ve had an off and on water leak for about a year now. Been to shop twice and they couldn’t get our TT to leak either time. Finally figured it out... whenever you shower and water is going toward the shower door, water is filling up in the railing/frame at the bottom where the shower door closes. It is eventually coming out the frame as it meets the shower wall, although it may just being flowing out the door and running down the shower to the frame/wall(Just thought of that as I’m typing). From there, it leaks out the bottom where the shower and kitchen slide meets and runs down the floor to the living room area. Easy enough to say just shower with shower head pointing away from door but we do have a 9 and 11 year old so.....anyone experience a leak similar to this? Hate to take back to service again and leave it for weeks. Also, worried about the floor over the past year. Obviously only happens when we shower but not every time. Still under warranty for 2 weeks so I know the majority will say take to service. Will they look at floor and see if any damage that we can’t see? Or will they just look and say “no soft spots,
You’re fine”?

They will not look for more damage, you must point it out or they likely will not do anything.

To say I was disappointed in TT warranty process and service is a gross understatement. It was really hard to even find a local dealer to do the work. They kept the trailer for a long time and did absolute bare minimum. It is irritating for them not to stand behind the products they sell.
Because of that, and my other interactions with dealers, I try to do all the work myself. I just haven't found a dealer I trust.
Having said that, I would file a claim with the manufacturer saying he floor is soft so you have some recourse in the future. If you find something in 6 months and don't have a claim in you will be SoL. This is probably futile and would only give you leverage is a legal case that might not be worth the effort. Probably just makes you feel better.
Personally I would determine what I believe is the correct fix and ask the dealer to that. If I could not get them to do exactly what I wanted, I'd have them do as much as they were willing to do then do the rest myself.
Examples of my experiences:
1. Small Bubble between rubber roof and plywood - Dealer - "that is normal and not under warranty"
2. Seals needed repair while still under warranty (2015 bought NEW in 2017) - Dealer - You know you bought a 2 year old trailer? Me - You know it is under warranty right?
3. The lower brackets on the Awning were screwed directly into Fiberglass siding. No backup brackets er MFG guidelines. Screw were pulling out tearing up Fiberglass. TT out of warranty. Dealer - at least $300 to repair could be thousands if we have to remove water heater and add backup fittings. I made 2 fittings that attach directly to frame installed them. You could probably safely jack the trailer from them. Complete over kill, for less than $50. Took less than 4 hours to fab and install. Sealed the original holes.
4. Wanted to have the wheel bearings repacked. though as long as it is there, how about wash, caulk seals, and UV protector to roof. Estimate $1500. It is really all labor, the materials are less than $40. I cn get a mobile guy to come to my house and wash and apply the UV sealant for less than $200 (I think I paid $150).
Never mind, I'll do it myself.

Dealers motto:
1) Move them in
2) Move them out
Look for a small independent shop or DIY.

On warranty work, the manufacturer calls the shots. That means pre-approval of all warranty fixes, as well as payment for labor by the dealer determined by the factory, rather than by how long the repair actually may take. Appliances, awnings, axles, and other vendor-supplied parts have separate warranties.
It's not like buying a truck, with franchise dealers who will cheerfully perform warranty service on your vehicle regardless of where it was purchased, and have service departments staffed by factory trained and certified techs, and well stocked parts departments.

Leaking from shower door track systems is a problem in RV's and stick and brick homes. Do what is necessary to stop water getting into the wrong places.
Sometimes it takes me a couple of tries to find an adequate solution or even to figure out the exact cause. A dealer service person may have the same problem. If the dealer needs 3 or more months for each trial, you can see it may take more time than it is worth.
Show your children the situation and explain how soft spots develop and what they cost to fix. Relate it to things they want but can't afford. Children can understand if you can relate to how they think. Don't yell or whine to get their attention. Persuade rather than issue orders.
I wish you good luck and happy trails ahead!
