Does anyone have a 2016 Tahoe TV? How long is your TT and how much does it weigh?

I have a 2019 Yukon Denali (not XL) w/trailer towing package, 6.2L. And there weren't a lot of mechanical changes between 2015 and 2019. My trailer weighs about 6500 lbs loaded (GVWR is about 7000) and length is 24 ft. If I went any longer or heavier would definitely trade in for a pickup.

Had an old 99 Tahoe with the 5.7L - towed a 24' 5800lb TT - was too much for my comfort. Moved to a 07 2500 with a 6.0L towed the same TT with ease. Currently towing an 8000 lb TT with a 17 2500 DMax diesel - again no sweat.

We hooked my buddy's Tahoe to my TT (30' 8500# travel weight) one time to try to move it off a slippery spot. The Tahoe just kept on compressing its' suspension until the tongue jack hit the ground.

Tahoe's are pretty softly sprung so that they ride well

A Tahoe is like a light duty 1/2 ton.....as such, I'd keep the trailer GVW (not dry weight) at 6,000 lbs or less and a max of 25'. Actual weighing of the trailer tongue and Tahoe would be required to ensure you are within it's limits. Of course many people will exceed this...

Used to tow my 21ft trailer (flagstaff 21ds) behind my 2013 Tahoe Z71 with 5.3L and tow package. It was all within spec (gross, payload, etc) but was not fun in the hills or trying to get to 62mph.

Used an 800lb WDH with separate sway control. It got pushed around a little but not bad and would chuck a bit on the bumps.

Maybe airbags and the bigger motor and lower gears would help you out.

Now I use a 2500HD with plans to upgrade the trailer later
