Thermal Pane Windows and 50 AMP

My Starcraft 294RESA TT is on order. I would appreciate input on the value of thermal pane windows in lieu of single-pane in colder climates in which temps may bottom out at 20 degrees overnight.

Also, my unit is outfitted with 50 AMP electrical option and wired for second A/C, which I would never do. Are there advantages to having 50 AMP over 30 AMP with one A/C unit?

Thanks in advance!

Thermo panes help reduce condensation. We all know what water damage does to a trailer, so if you can wipe away the condensation , single panes will suffice.
50 amp service allows more appliances to operate at the same time, without blowing the breaker. You probably won't need it, but it's there if you do.. especially if someone is using a hair dryer, toaster, micro, tv, air/con, all at the same time.

If you will be traveling/camping where temperatures could be extremely hot or cold, I highly recommend thermal/dual pane windows. We have them on our coach.

Don't under stand your concern about 50amp vs. 30amp service, if you have the 50amp service all the better.

Best of luck and safe travels

Can't comment on the thermal pane windows but the 50 amp service is great .
We were doing a little winter camping & in the mornings to get the chill out we would run our 1500 wt. space heater (to save on propane) & make a pot of coffee & heat up breakfast in microwave without tripping breakers .
Had several people comment on WOW wish I could do that .
We have 30 amp power & can only run 1 high wattage appliance at a time without tripping breakers .
Had a pop up with 30 amp service & we had to turn off the AC in order to make a pot of coffee .
You will love the 50 amp service

Yes, get the thermo pane windows. Great in the hot or cold. And the second AC is a no brainer. Nice to have in very hot weather. And if one unit dies, you always have a backup. Have the factory do it or risk a blotched job at some dealer.

Thermal pane windows are worth the upgrade for sure, especially if you'll be in places where the temps are extreme. 50 amp service is nice but not a necessity if you're only going to have one AC. If you opt for two then it is needed. Most of us know that even with 50 amp you don't have both ac's running plus the TVs microwaves and hair dryers at the same time.

50 amp is nice to have even with one A/C. If you didn't already know, a 50 amp connection actually provides TWO 50 amp lines, for a total of 100 amps. Your ability to take advantage of this depends on how your RV is wired, but it's nice to have either way.
