Through frame slide

Hi All,

Long story short, slide got stuck and skipped 3+ teeth on motor side. I fixed the getting stuck issue but now need to straighten it out.
Lippert says disengage gear and push slide in to realign. Easy enough but I have a couple of questions.

The picture below is my gear pack.
Do I extend slide half way?
Do I need to lift it some to get weight off gear? If so where do I lift it??
If so, do I let it down when gear is disengaged so I can move the slide?
Do I need to remove the bar the arrow is pointing at or will it loosen when I loosen gear?

NOTE: This is NOT an in wall schwintek!

Thanks!!

I would disconnect the drive rod and then push the slide back into alignment, then connect the drive rod back.

Drive rod? Not sure what you are talking about. I just know the slide won't move until the gear is disengaged.

Ok figured out the drive rod....I'm thinking I can disconnect passive side then slightly move the motor side with the motor. I'm just a little worried about getting the holes to line back up to reconnect drive rod.
But this seems the easiest way to do this since the drive rod is in the enclosed underbelly. Thoughts???

So thought I would give an update......
Finally got my slide all "straightened" out! I eventually lifted both inner rails and was able to disengage the gear pack. I could not push the slide in though so got an RV guy to come help. Long story short.....some of the adjusting bolts were loose, so over time, each time I put the slide in and out it was moving out of adjustment a little bit at a time and till finally.....way out!

Needless to say, I consider myself now VERY knowledgeable on through frame slides!! So if any of you need help with one let me know.
