Time to buy?? And thoughts on model?

hi everyone i need help with a few questions. my wife and i are looking into buying our first tt. we are looking into a palomini 179bhs and the sportsman classic 19bhs. this both being under 3000 pounds(good for our tow vehicle) the slid out is great on a small tt and the bunks are perfect for oour 10month old little girl and a friend(when she gets older). anyone with thoughts on these models. the other question is i live in pa about 45min form hershey park. there are having a rv show coming in sept. should i wait until the show or look at some dealers now. i was told by some i can get the same deal with it being so late in the season.

I have been to the Hershey show 3 times. Since you are so close I recommend going just to see all the new stuff. You can also learn and buy other camping items. You can talk to a few factory reps and it is kinda fun to go. You might see a rig you like better.

Beware of larger units that are outside your tow vehicle's ability to comfortably tow your trailer. That is why there are small, medium and large tow vehicles. Both boats and camping trailers are the same. They get nicer as they get larger. And price goes up accordingly. You will be drawn to walk onto the $600,000 motor home just to see or the $90,000 Airstream Trailer. You gotta know what you would buy if you ever win the lottery.

On the flip side you are correct. You can get 25% - 30% off MSRP anytime.

P.S. those Pa. mountains are difficult to tow thru but make for pretty scenery.

Good luck

Take your time shopping.
New RVs come out in the Fall and you can get good deals at shows, but the best deal are at the dealers on 2014 and 2015 left-overs. They want these units GONE!
By my experience and others that I've read and heard about, you should have a target of around 30% off MSRP this time of the year.

As far as models, it's hard to find a really small/light bunkhouse in the 3000lbs weight range. There are a few out there, but they may be hard to find. Just be disciplined about what you can safely tow.
