Tire Pressure System

I bought a rpm system called Solar powered tire pressure monitoring system. It was only $44.
Every so often one of the tires stops reporting pressure and temperature. Then 30 or 40 minutes later it kicks in.
Anyone else with this experience?

You paid $44 for a TPMS and you're surprised it's not working properly? Sometimes cheap isn't the way to go. Quality toilet paper, good beer and TPMS systems you don't go cheap on.

I've had this happen with a Tire Minder system. Sometimes battery replacement works, other times not. Also, distance from sender to receiver may be on the border of good communication. The better units offer boosters.

I have a factory option SmarTire system in my rig, ac$6,000 option in 2009. Late 2017 I had internal sensors installed in my CR-V (about $600 cost). Even it drops a towed tire or two as I drive. Just shows that a dropout can occur with even high priced (but not necessarily better) systems.
