Gee, great minds and weak backs do think alike! I do the shovel trick also, using a flat shovel works best. Cheers!...

For a upgrade you will need to go with a 16" LT E like the commercial grade Bridgestone R-238.

The biggest downside of the Endurance is only 8/32" of tread depth.... makes for a short term miles of service... if it matters. Most rv trailers never wear a tire out so they work fine for those folks.

This. Unless you are willing to go with a quality LT tire, the Endurance is as good as it gets and is considered a premium trailer tire - no need to change. I also like that the Endurance is speed rated to 87mph.

I just installed Hercules 901 on my fifth. 235/80/16. 14 ply. 4080 lbs at 110 psi. Seriously hard core tire. Part of Cooper.

Running Sailun 235/80/16 on my TT. G rated 14 ply. Overkill but way cheaper than GY Endurance. Only had them on for a few trips so long term evaluation will have to wait. They are heavy. Tire alone weighs almost as much as the rin and GY tire combined.
They replaced the OEM GY Endurance that served me well but the Sailuns were cheaper so I went that route.

These are good for 3200 pounds each in your size. Good warranty also. They are made in Thailand whereas the trans eagle tires are made in China.

L rated which is 75 mph.

I ordered mine through walmart.com. They installed them for $18 each with lifetime rotation and balance.
