Toliet not shutting off

Anyone ever have trouble with the water not shutting off after you flush the toliet, its happened a few times. Wife caught it about 2 inches from the rim once. Just wondering if there's an ajustment I need to make.

Happened to me once. The valve in the foot pedal stuck. A little Vaseline did the trick..

That's one reason i put a cutoff valve in the water supply line to the toilet. Had a previous TT that had leak at the toilet valve. Was a pain turning it on and off as needed, but saved the trip.
