Did they have a price for the one you traded in on their web site. I would print out a copy of that, so if anything more comes out of this you can show that they put it on the market for more money than they gave you for the trade, and how they listed it as to condition. Then if they call you, you can remind them of how they listed it and it didn't sound like there were any problems with it according to them. And that you printed out their web site as a record. That should stop any further attempt on their part to get any more money out of you.

hahaha, Of course they are reading this...

They know where to look to gauge the industry and for possible sales leads.

Your sales guy or gal is paid to sell, sell, sell and give you the bare minimum for the trade in. Sounds to me the sales person quoted you a trade in price that was way wrong and their boss didn't catch it until after you drove off the lot...

again to the dealer, ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!!!!!!

gee! I almost peed myself....

I'm curious as to what price they are asking for your trade in and whether they fixed it.

I certainly would ask for photos of the "damage" they claim you knew about. It is possible the salesman was just upset because he wasn't thorough before the offer.

They may be waiting, sort of giving you some time to stew a bit over it.

When/if they call be courteous and rational as suggested in the thread. You have nothing to gain and everything to lose.

They have nothing to lose and everything to gain so they will likely call. Perhaps the fellow who is pursuing it is sick or away.

I would do as Mike and Cha suggest and establish the price they are trying to sell your trade in. If indeed they are asking the same or more for it than they gave you, they are only looking to pad their deal.

They haven't called because they know they don't have a leg to stand on. Wouldn't surprise me if they aren't scheming something. But if they haven't called then it looks like they read through the papers you signed and realize it's a done deal. Biggest downer about the whole thing is the good rap-port you had with them is out the door. If you need to have warranty work done then you will probably want to take it to a different dealer, I know I would, which in it's self could be tricky.

The whole situation sucks for both parties.

Their just waiting for you to bring the new one in for warranty work. I would wait several months for that. They will just wholesale your trade off. Have you even seen the rot on the old one? You dodged the bullet on this one, seldom is the little guy that lucky.
