Why would anyone look at the trailer "Dry Weight" when determining what they can pull? Use the Trailer GVWR. If your tow vehicle can handle that within all parameters you won't have to guess about how much you have it loaded from dry weight.

A 2018 1500 z71 chevy with a 9100 lb tow rating doesn't tell anyone if the truck has the numbers to tow that size trailer.

If your truckl the NHT tow package which gives you a 7600 gvwr and a 4300 rawr 3.73 gears and has the 6.2 engine with 420 hp/460 torque then its a good match.

Now if you have the std package with the 5.3 v8 8 speed tranny 3.42 axle ratio
7200 gvwr 3900-4000 rawr then you will have a maxed out truck. By maxed out I mean being close to overloading the trucks rear axle/tires/wheels and rear suspension as its carrying all the load in the bed. The 5.3 engine won't have any problems pulling 9100 lbs ....just a bit short on carrying heavy hitch weights from a std rv trailer.

IMO the truck would perform better in all types of terrain with a lighter weight trailer.

Trailer too big. Personally and IMHO, the only truck in the 1/2 ton class that can tow 8k + WELL is the F150 with max tow package. Yes... there are those who will say "I don't even know it's back there".

The size your considering is in the range of consideration of , should my 3/4 ton truck have a diesel or gas engine.

Yep you crowding it, I tried pulling my work and play I previously had with a 15 f150 with a 5.0 and power was not an issue . holding it on the road was! I could level the truck out tighten the sway control and in the end ti was like the Tail waging the Dog!
Simple answer ... I purchased a F250 with a 6.2L Gas burner with a 7ft bed and towing that thing became a joy!
My wife and I recently purchased a StarCraft Launch 26RSL that has a loaded weight of about 7K and now my only concern is getting tires that will hang with me.

carrying all the load in the bed! isn't that what the weight dist. hitch is for to transfer some of that weight to the front axel.

I would think the 31bh is a 35' RV trailer. That is a lot trailer for a 1/2 ton
