Transfer Flow fuel tank make specific?

I have the opportunity to purchase a used 50 gallon transfer flow which was previously mounted in a 2004 Chevy Silverado. The problem is I have a 2000 Ford F250SD. Does anyone have any idea how much of a problem I may run into trying to adapt this tank to a Ford? Yes, they are both diesels. Thanks!

If it is an in-bed tank, it should be no problem. The under the bed tanks are make and model specific. I have a 48 gal Transfer Flow tank on my '99 F250 short bed and the OE fuel pickup is used in the Transfer Flow tank. If the Chev tank is an under the bed type, the fuel gauge and pickup tube may present a problem. Give them a call in Chico and ask them about adapting it to your truck - plumbing and gauge readout.

I got a 30 gallon Transflow tank and I had it on my 03 Chevy and when I traded it for the 06 the dealer moved the tank for me. I had to call Transflow and they sent me a new wiring harness as the one on the 03 would not work. I think the cost was a little over a $100. I am very pleased with the tank and will probably move it to a new truck again when the time comes to get one.

I appreciate your help. It is designed to fit in the bed. Your posts also point out to me that there are cheaper ways to go than Transfer Flow. Thanks!

Contack Transfer flow to get the correct module and wire connections. As far as the tank, they are all the same.
