Travel trailer toilet.

I have a 28 foot holiday rambler and my toilet wont stop flushing. Its like i have my foot down on my flush oedal , but i dont. So i removed it. What could be wrong with it. Its a low profile style.

It must have a bad shut off valve.

Yep, that sounds like a broken flush valve. Sometimes they can be replaced, but I'd suggest a toilet upgrade. You can get a real porcelain throne for a few bucks more than those cheap plastic ones. It's more than worth it IMO.

Is a shut of valve easy to fix or is it just better to buy a new toilet.

To be honest, I like to keep everything original in my 1973 Rambler. Is a shut off valve cheap and easy to replace on those toilets?

The shut off valve it attached to the flush peddle on most units. I would think you can see it as you do have the toilet removed. Find a model number on the toilet and search for it. I have no idea what the part is going to cost. I would think not much.

Flush valve more than likely, from the looks of that could be something stuck in it that flowed through the water line for that matter. I'd replace the toilet, but do whatever makes you happy. The new toilets are so much better and flush better than the old plastic ones. It's kind of an important appliance in an enclosed camper space, when it malfunctions ain't nobody happy.

I have replaced that valve before, on my current toilet. It's not a difficult job, but can be pretty tedious with the toilet still installed. Since yours is no longer installed, it should be pretty darn easy. I think mine had two screws and the water line to remove, then it easily pulled out. Pushed new one in, put screws back in, reattached the water line and started flushing again. The part was also cheap enough for me to get a second one just in case I needed it again in a hurry.
