TT Entertainment

Even though our TT is small (26') I've been trying to figure out a way to add some entertainment. Not that I need a lot, I work with technology every day, I was thinking more along the lines of rain and our little kids. Bought a new Mac Mini (always been a Mac person) with the hdmi out port to add to camper. Has a ton of uses. Using a free application called "Handbrake" I rip all the kids movies to iTunes, so they have 200 movies to choose from in TT. Also have my entire music library (42 GB) on the hard drive. Set it up so the kids can watch their movies on the TV and also I can stream my music to the stereo inside (and outside of the camper) for entertainment. Also, being a Netflix member if the campsite has wi-fi I can stream the movies right to the tv. Got wireless keyboard and mouse so they can sit at the dinette and use the computer. I have a computer for emails and business stuff without bringing my $2000 laptop along. Also good for checking out local attractions before you go. If the campsite doesn't have wi-fi get yourself a smart phone that provides wi-fi and you're still in business (I obviously prefer the iPhone). Combine that with the DirecTV hooked up in our bedroom and I should be taken care of. It's not that difficult and you can do the whole thing for under $1000 including the streaming of music and video. A lot cheaper if all you want is it hooked up to one tv. If you have any questions just ask.

"Further erosion of the written word ! " But if the kids have to have it ...
So what kind of Hard drive are you using with your Mini ... I got one too but my Mini doesn't "see" it ... Worked on my old I MAC...

The new mini has a 500 gb hard drive in it. Plenty for music and such.
