Has anyone added speakers that hook to the TV? I have a sound bar but it is really too big to hang beneath the TV so I would like to mount some speakers near the couch as the AC makes it hard to hear sometimes. I know it also depends on the connections the TV has as well.

I’ve been using simple amplified computer speakers plugged into the earphone outlet. Had considered a sound bar but this is easier and has worked since 2007.

Did the same thing as SteveB. Took computer speakers that were powered by USB port and plugged into earphone jack. Speakers shut down with TV power and sound pretty good. Had speakers already so cost was $0.00. Wife thinks I am crazy for changing stuff all the time.
i currently do the same with the computer speakers and they work very good and sound is excilent. but i would like to find some 12 volt wireless speakers most have a battery, i don't want that. what i want is speakers above my bed where i have 12 volt available and go wireless to them or blue tooth. my current tv is 12 volt and have to run the speakers off of an inverter. along with my satellite box. any ideas?
