Ultimate 20-24' tandem axel quality-built trailer

I am curious for input from others here, as I'm sure many have already done a lot of research on this. I'm looking for a really well built tandem axle in the 22-24, maybe 25' range, with a slide, and weighing leads than 5,000 UVW.

Recently looked at the Heartland Mallard 210 https://youtu.be/Y1BywH76CNs. Anybody own one of these?

I've also looked at the Winnie Minnies but don't like the step up to the dinette. Also the Rockwood/Flagstaff mini lites. Some have a dinette only and some a couch only, and some a muphy bed. Not crazy about the dated Rockwood/Flagstaff interiors. Would like it to be as open as possible, with modern finishes, and have a decent sized bathroom.

Any suggestions on others I should look at? Budget = $25,000 or less, new or used.

Thanks!

Outdoors RV or Arctic Fox.
None of the manufacturers you mentioned will come close.
You want quality? You will pay for it.

A used Lance would be at the top of my list with the criteria you mentioned. They hold their value extremely well, and sell quickly. Bought ours new 3 years ago, and have gained value per NADA. Well built, with quality materials, and methods. But they also have the step up slide dinette. This allows for a lower profile for ease of towing.

Inspection is crucial with any purchase, new, or used. Take several hours and work through every system. Don’t let them take you through a quick PDI. Buying a trailer is like rolling the dice. Not sure what your going to get. Inspection before funds are handed over. Walk away if anything looks off, or repair list gets too long or extensive.

As others mentioned Lance, Arctic Fox, ORV, Nash are the top dogs if you can find one that fits you criteria.

All are kinda on the expensive side because they offer better quality.

I like the Flagstaff/Rockwood trailers. They laminate the roof which is good I think. They use a higher quality TPO roofing material than others I think.

But in your price range there are a lot of trailers to choose from. Heartland, Keystone, StarCraft, Forest River, Gulfstream, and about a dozen more manufacturers make travel trailers in the size you are talking about.

It will not be easy picking one.

Good luck

If you don't mind the $$$$$ look at Oliver and Escape.

I really like the Mallard 210 it would be perfect for two people. we have an older 27' Fleetwood and its perfect for the two of us. as with anything you usually get what you pay for, BUT no sense paying more money for something that doesn't fit you or you don't like. best thing I have found when looking at an rv is to tell the sales man to take a hike and just set down for a wile with your wife and look around and talk about it.

Another to consider would be Grand Design. Quality seems to be better than most.
