Unexplained Tears in Linoleum Floors

Hello
I have owned my trailer since new (with no problems) and stored it last Fall like I always do. I went out yesterday since the weather is warming up to check it out and noticed the linoleum tile ripped in several places. I first thought water damage but didn't see any discoloration on the subfloor and then vandalism but the tears go under the rear slide. It happened in several places from the furnace vent into the walls and the bathroom.
What could have caused this?

Ok thanks. I never heard of that so was stumped when I saw it but it does make sense. I just wanted to rule out anything drastic. Now the next choice is what to replace it with lol

You may have had a pebble (or some other debris) caught under the slide. When the slide moved, the pebble gauged into the floor.

Are they tears or cracks? Cracks can be caused by cold temps/temp changes as Mr. D shared. If they are cuts/tears, could be something on bottom of slide catching the floor...anything from a rock to a bent piece of trim/flashing. You may also want to examine your slide rollers. They are on the front on the slide room and roll across the floor as the slide opens/closes.

Since it was fine when it went into storage I would suspect the cold.

Similiar thing happened to our trailer..... was caused by a screw holding the flooring on the slide underneath, had backed out and gouged the flooring and carpet as the slide retracted.
Was easy to find it and repair the loose screw....flooring required stitching in another matching piece of carpet and vinyl to fix that. Glad I am able to do this kind of work. Would have required many weeks at at dealer!
