Using a Victron Battery Protect to disconnect system

I know a Battery Protect device can be setup to disconnect power from the batteries to a load via a remote switch.


Question is: To use the Battery Protect switching instead of a latching solenoid switch to turn off loads for storage, etc. I will still have a manual master battery switch, but also want a way to isolate common loads from charging circuits. Think two buss bars with a Battery Protect between them vs a solenoid switch.


What's pros & cons of each solution?

First thing that comes to mind is why.. Just adding another point of failure into a system.
