Water heater

I have a 2006 Trail-lite and cannot keep my water heater lit. I light it but then in about 4 minutes it cuts off?

Any suggestions?

Lights but doesn't stay lit.........
Flame Proving signal is not being sensed by circuit board

Spark Electrode ---high voltage spark for ignition and ALSO return path for flame proving signal
Dirty, bad connections, bad wire, crack ceramic insulator will inhibit flame signal (milliamps)

Could be bad t-stat, bad connections/terminals on t-stat

Are you getting the RED Fault light???

Some wh's just use a thermocouple, if it's a manual light and has a pilot. An electronic lighting type will have a flame sensor. Both need to be well into the flame as will occasionally need to be cleaned. Propane flames can leave a white residue on them that will affect how they work.
