With a prior trailer, I had a similar issue. My company was Liberty Mutual.
The hot water line to the sink leaked, and the floor under the vinyl rotted and became soft. I reported it to Liberty Mutual, they sent an adjustor out, and the repair was authorized, less the deductible. They paid something like $2200, and this was only about 6 months after I bought the trailer and added it to our insurance policy. I will NEVER have insurance with anyone else.

Hello,

Just got confirmation today that the claim will be covered. We had another adjustor come out and meet with my fiancé. He looked at everything and determined it was a valid claim. What the prior adjustor looked at as rotted wood, this adjuster saw it for what it was. Wet wood that was wet due to the water heater leaking. The soft floor she was referring to was the floor where the vinyl was torn which was like that when we got it. So she basically was stepping on the vinyl that was lifting and said that was a soft floor. I swear that lady should not be able to write a estimate for a power wheel. Also I found out I still had a extended warranty on the camper from when I bought it, so that covered the water heater. A awful situation but it ended well.

Thank you for posting update and resolution

Some 'adjusters' are not right

Had Hail Damage to Roof...Ins Adjuster looked at photos taken by Roof Company and denied claim
Roof Company contacted Ins Company and requested an adjuster come out/met with them and get up on roof
Next day...claim was accepted after adjuster LOOKED at roof

This particular adjuster has a reputation in the autobody world and when I realized she was looking at the camper I wasn’t happy but figured I would let her. Never again. Told them she is never to handle anything for me again.

Now a days they want to do stuff by photos due to Covid but they shouldn’t for the very reason you said. What things look like in a picture and in person are two different things. Glad you got the hail damage taken care of.
