Years ago I switched to a residential water regulator. They are more expensive, but they maintain flow and pressure. Either a Watts or Zurn Wilkins are the best brands.

Unless you are running with a real marginal tow vehicle, you will probably never notice the water in the tank. Depending on tank location, the trailer might tow better with the additional weight in it if is forward of the axles.
