find water pump on 82 holiday rambler

You might look in vanity cabinet or under sink around hotwater heater. I have also found them behind a wood panel at bottom front of sofa. Often near water heater mabe for sake of using pump to suck antifreese into lines for winter protection and you usually have a bypass valve on water heater to keep from filling heater with antifreeze. Hope you find it. Some do make quite a noise.

Since there are only a few waterpumps used in RVs, I would say that it depends on how your trailOr is built and how the pump was installed.
But if you want more specific answers, you may want to start your own thread with the question in the subject line, instead of hijacking someone else's thread. Just a matter of courtesy.
