Water Pump Options

Our Shurflo is working but better to have the replacement in the camper than need one on the road IMHO. So it has the 4008-101-e65, which has 3 GPM flow. Found one with a little more flow, the 2088-544-144 which is rated at 3.5 GPM. Everything else looks identical. Anyone out there try upgrading the flow on the water pump? A little more pressure in the shower would be nice.
TIA

I can't answer to the water pump, but have you tried those Oxygenics shower heads? I bought one at Walmart for about $40.00 and it made a huge difference compared to the junky shower head that came with the trailer.

Water Pump Options

Just make sure it the same psi and voltage as old one, or there will be issues

I have upgraded the water pump to a higher PSI and flow rate on every camper I have owned. I also add a good sized accumulator tank to the plumbing system so the pump only comes once for about 10-15 seconds for every gallon or so of water usage.

I have upgrades all my rv with a surely 4 GPM pump that gives you flow like park water flow. Add a accumulator kit and a pair of flex lines off the pump. You will be happy with your purchase. The oxygenation shower head also is a nice upgrade.

Best is one with 55 psi and 3.4-4 gpm flow ratings

Shurflo or most any other RV Potable 12VDC pump can be used
Might have to use adapters on suction/discharge ports if different brand then Shurflo.

One thing I have found......if you have a 'spare' that is NOT the part/component that fails. LOL

Our Shurflo is OEM and going strong since 2007
Have been using it exclusively since 2008

I doubt my 18 month old pump in my ORV even puts out 15 psi and I'd be shocked if it makes 2.5 gpm. That's OK as it keeps the wife in check when boondocking. The Oxygenics shower head was the best thing I've bought for the ORV.
