Water Pump Replacement

Was winterizing today and the input side of the water pump broke off the body. Odd issue so time for a new pump. Artis PDS1RV25. Having a hard time finding where this pump is available.
Did some searching on here and found the Sureflow 4008-101-E65 is a direct replacement. Is the sureflow -A65 the same? Looks like similar ratings for both.

I believe the E65 is just an updated designation of the OEM A65 as they are the identical pump according to the Pentair website. https://www.pentair.com/en-us/produc...pass-pump.html

99% of RV water pumps are universal fit, no need to shop for exact replacement.

More important to shop for PSI/GPM.

I would suggest getting a pump that has 3 to 3.6 GPM flow , this is slightly more then most OEM provide with the trailer. Using the pump for showering is almost like having a hose and city water pressure. I would also suggest getting a accumulator kit to install at the same time. The accumulator helps smooth out the pump pulses and give you water pressure with the pump off for about 10 seconds. also helps with pump noise. You will need two 18" flex lines to install it assuming the kit doesn't contain the hoses.

I would add some type of rubber mounts to see if the would reduce noise. Maybe felt pads would work also.

By far the best mounting for quiting a pump is to mount the pump to 2 short sections of flexible (non-reinforced) hose and then mount the hose to the backing. Here's a pic.
Also using short flex hose for inley & outlet reduces transmission via hard tubing.

Wound up with this one.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B010T...b_b_asin_title

I plan on eventually adding the accumulator tank kit, we don’t do a whole lot of dry camping right now. But plan on going to the races within the next year or so.
One thing I do need to do is add a ball valve to the tank input. This pump, and the old one, has always been difficult to prime for winterizing. The winterizing hose has a valve, the tank line doesn’t.
