Water pump runs continuously
I bought a 2013 KZ Spree a few weeks ago and am prepping it for our maiden voyage. The only problem I've encountered is that the water pump runs continuously. I haven't found any leaks and have all of the air out of the lines, if smooth running water from both hot and cold sides is any indication. Suggestions for what to check next?

It sounds like the pump is pumping water Somewhere. Is there a valve open that allows the pressure side of the pump to run water back into fresh water tank? Or do you have a fresh water flush option for the black tank? On our coach, if I have the fresh water flush hooked up, and the valve open for the black tank flush, while not connected to city water, the pump will run continuously pumping water from the fresh water tank into the black water tank.
It would take some time for the gauges to show a lowering fresh water level, and a raising black tank level. Just a thought.

Mine was the fill valve open instead of normal flow.

On mine, if you have it set to "tank fill" and have the pump on, it will run all the time. I have to switch it back to normal flow.

Could be the check valve in the city connection is faulty

When I turn on my pump, I get water coming out the city water inlet. Will not pressurize, would empty the tank if left on.
A check valve somewhere?

Yes, bad check valve near the city water connection. As a workaround you can rig up something to cap off the city water connection until fixed.

The problem was the top of the clear strainer assembly was broken, allowing air in and keeping the pump from pressurizing. Thanks for your replies!
