Waxing

I have a 2003 Sunline 24 ft Trailer. My question is that in the owners manual it says that this trailer never need to be waxed. The material ( aluminum siding ) always looks great and I just wash it with auto soap with wax or dawn liquid soap.
What has the manufacture done or is it the type of material that doesn't need waxing?? It saves me time, energy and money.
Can anyone shine a light on my question? Thanks!

Having owned a Sunline though a 2001, will say that they are dead wrong when the manual says to not wax it occasionally. Yeah, wash and wax will keep it decent but suggest that you try an area with a good cleaner/wax and you will find it looks even better. You might want to ask these folks: https://www.sunlineclub.com/forums/

When I bought my TT they offer an after market coating that was sprayed on by authorized dealers that was supposed to make it so you never needed to wax. I can't remember the brand name but it was either a polymer or ceramic coating that was used by aircraft companies. I passed. I think the dealer started at $1500 and was down under $1K but I didn't trust it. Later I talked to a guy I work with about it and he has had it on his RV for 5 plus years and has had RVs for 20+ years. He said it was worth it in his opinion.
