Well, we did it...!

It's not the camper I wanted, but missus said she's happy with it.
After a good honest six months of searching for a camper, in the time of Covid, where everyone else is asking ridiculous amounts of money and people are paying... I found a fixer upper, near vintage, that didn't need too much work to re-hab and didn't cost an arm and a leg...
It's a 1983, Skyline, Weekender 1743.
I won't post any interior pics just yet (I don't want to gross anyone out...) But it is all original and was owned by a smoker... (the already brown interior is especially brown now...)
So, begins the reno project to re-hab... There is a small soft spot in the front floor and a soft spot in the rear bath... apparently from the roof that has been replaced. Once I get in there to start pulling out the cabinets and flooring it'll get new appliances, water, gas lines, paint and fixtures...

So, Like I said... Here goes... It's a major change from the class A we had... But we'll still be camping!

Lots of moral support here! Plenty of tech support on the board, too.
One of the 1st things I would do is verify that the roof is indeed properly repaired and leak free. Windows too. Otherwise, all your good work could be for nothing. Then tear out the old stuff and repair the floor.
Once you have the hard part done the fun part begins. Which is... building it your way.

Congrats on your new to you RV.

Have fun cleaning it up and making it your own. Take out all your windows and relign with butyl tape amd Lexel caulk on the outside. The front one with the rock guard should be okay. You Tube has a tutioral on how to remove the window and reseal. Bonus while the window is out you can see the wall layers.Check for delamination/rot. Post pictures when you get it cleaned up.
