If it has the little button and green light...you don’t want to replace it. The power to the antenna for signal amp is built-in. They make a different model which has a signal strength indicator in it...but if you have a powered antenna booster...you will have bad performance if you just replace with a dual coax.

The CATV connection and OTA are switched there as well.

What is outlet used for?

The small black power button with a light just to the right on the bedroom cable coax is the power to your rooftop Antenna. Without power your rooftop antenna it’s is useless.
This isn’t just a wall plate ! it’s a power inserter into the Coax cable to the roof. My suggestion is do not do what you are planning.

By the way the light doesn’t appear to be on in the photo ( it’s in cable from park mode) pushing the little black button and turning on the light , assuming it works , switches to your roof ota antenna and powers the amplifier in the antenna head

Plug in a 2 port USB to 12 volt power adapter and use it to charge your phones.

The satellite is already connected and works fine. There are two coax connections outside the camper, going to try to hook up TV to the second one. Can I just cut and cap those 12v wires and put them back in the wall?

No, this is a photo I found on the Internet just to illustrate the kind of port I was talking about. Mine is a Winegard, with just the 12v and a coax connection.

Can I just cut those 12v wires behind the wall plate and cap them?

Ive never seen a connection plate like that that in a RV that didnt power the antenna with a tiny black button or switch esp a winegard plate. Not to say they don't exist.
Sure if it just powers the outlet .. just make sure that's all it does.
How does your antenna get 12 volt power? They all do some way.

Funny, I've considered ADDING a couple of 12 volt outlets. (But first, if you do remove, be sure to cap or wrap with insulation tape.)

We specifically selected a 12 capable tv so we don't have to use the inverter. Much less amp draw. Also looking at one of the 12 volt mattress pad heaters (rather than run an inverter to drive the power to 120, a transformer in the heater to take it back down to 12 and a power loss on each conversion).
