What is the hole in the side of my TT for?

I sure wish I could figure out how to post a picture so this would make some sense ha!

There is a hole with a black grommet in the skirt of my new travel trailer. Not an accidental hole, but one that was apparently quite intentional. I've looked at every manual, all of the flyers, pictures online...I can't figure out what it's for!! Does anyone know what I'm talking about and can help? It feels foolish that I can't figure it out. In my head, it has to be to run some kind of a hose through...or it's for some type of accessory??

Always hanging my head in shame for ridiculous questions lol!

Is the spare tire underneath? Access to lower tire?

Just guessing, but it is either the manual crank hole for the slide or possibly for the spare tire crank.

The spare tire is on the rear bumper. I guess I'm not sure about access to a lower tire? The hole (should have said this earlier) is about 2" diameter.

The slide is on the opposite side...would that matter?

The motor for the slide is at the inner end of rail.....my manual crank hole is under the step cutout on the other side of trailer

After reading your post, I was curious which is why I looked for a pic. Unfortunately I don’t have a clue, but hopefully someone will see the pic and identify it. Is there a drain tube connected to it? A dealer MIGHT know what it is.

Is there a quick disconnect for an LP line underneath? Maybe it’s so you can pass a hose through and hook into the LP lines on the camper to a grill

That is the access to manually bring slide in should the slide motor fail or you have a power outage. You use the same crank that is provided for the scissor jacks. The hope is that you never need it, but it is there in case of an emergency and you need to retract the slide manually.

Really?

They put the crank/access on the opposite side of the actual slide?
