my old rig was a Silverado 1500 extended cab with a 4.8L V8 3.42 rear end......no load it was 22mpg at 80mph...really!...with a bed cover.


loaded with lightweight truck camper pulling 16' skiff it was 16 mpg at 60mph

Ram Rocks

I have a 2016 Ram EcoDiesel 3.73 gears with GDE tuning. I get 14-16 towing at 70 MPH. 21 MPG in town 25-28 on highway. Best truck ever!!

ram rocks alright

i have the same Cummins engine in my boat....they are great!...nothing better

In the truck, i would have the DEF system stripped out...thats the weak link in that truck....all my friends have had to do that.....the 'cycle' that it goes thru to 'treat' the DEF system is BAD for the engine.

Right now I'm getting fabulous MPG with my '16 Bounder. It's parked in my quonset plugged into power...not using a single drop of gasoline...

Ours is simply the stock version.
We get about the same kind of mileage and have the same experience - best truck ever! Amazing power! Amazing fuel economy!
