What to use to clean Bug Guts off of a Travel Trailer
We just got back from a Yellowstone, Glacier and Idaho camping tour. The bug guts on the trailer are impossible to totally remove after being subjected to 112° heat.. Is there any product that you know of; have tried yourself to remove them? Better yet, is there something I can apply to the front of the trailer before a trip to ease the cleaning issue?

I cannot remember the brand, however i bought a spray can of bug remover that works great. I use it according to the directions plus an auto sponge with a nylon scrubber on one side. Spray on the remover allow to soak a few minutes then wash with the scrubber and regular auto wash soap.
Doing this in direct sun is a waste of time and effort, as you can imagine.

I just take a large cleaning cloth or towel soaked in water and lay it on one area at a time, holding it in place if necessary. After a few minutes I do a little gentle scrubbing action with it and most everything comes right off, but my wax remains. Rinse cloth and repeat. When finished do a final cleaning your normal way.

I've had a can of this forever https://www.amazon.com/MEGUIARS-G180...s%2C109&sr=8-5
Does a pretty good job. The main thing is to not let them bake on. The longer they sit , the worse it'll be to get them off. Really caked on guts takes a good soaking & elbow grease with a soft scrubby. Be sure to clean extra-well, then wax well or use RainX or something to coat the surface to make it easier in the future to remove future splatters. Anytime you clean, reapply the wax/RainX or whatever.

I camp in Wisconsin during the late spring, summer, and early fall. Wisconsin provides swarms of all kinds in insects. My fiberglass TT gets coated on the front with bug guts.
At first I spent lots of time trying different cleaners and scrubbing. Then I began studying coatings. Waxes don't last and often turn yellow on exposure to weather. I found several other kinds of coatings the are reported to last for more than a year.
I settled on Poli glow and put it on according to instructions. I am older and do not have the energy to take on large projects quickly, so I covered one side of the TT at a time. The first side was the front.
On the next trip the bugs on the front just washed off easily with water. It has been about 3 years now and a good rain storm often removes most of the bugs. A little scrubbing removes the remainder.
Some people complain that Poli glow is hard to remove. I wounder why one would want to remove it. It does not turn yellow. It is not a wax.
It is designed to protect fiber glass, but also works on chalking paint and other plastics. It protects my transparent plastic vent and sky light covers. The sky light was turning yellow. It has not got any worse since I put Poli glow on it.
I recommend the kit with cleaner and application tools. Cleaning according to instructions is vital to how well it works. Clean tools during application is also vital. Follow instructions exactly. Remember it is not a wax. It is a protective chemical coating and work very well when instructions are followed.
Full disclosure:
I don't get paid for promoting Poli glow. I have never been paid for promoting Poli glow. I don't expect to ever get paid for promoting Poli glow. However, I do benefit from the ease with which the TT can be cleaned.

X2 Dryer sheets! They work great. You’ll need to wash after but you probably would anyways.

I am looking into this product. Winter is fast approaching and I need to try and get something in place before the temperature drops below 30.

I've used dryer sheets in the past with good results. Now I use one of these:

Their Wash and Wax All product is also great.
