From the number of negative post on this make of TT, I think that there is a reason the dealer was taking it to the auction.... My thoughts would be to "back away" slowly from this deal

Do you mean the "negative reviews" from this thread alone, or are there others out there that I am missing. Again, I'm sorry if this isn't a smart question, but this is our first RV. Isn't it typical for all models to have quirks, or are there an above-average amount for the Element in your opinion? Again, all feedback is valued, and I appreciate your time before we sign.

I thought they were really nice looking, but walked away from the one I went to buy... just too many visible things that looked like a drunk or crack head installed. I frequent several RV forums and have yet to see a positive comment about one of these... and the manufacturer is gone bust... no wonders there... Sorry, but some things can't be sugar-coated.

Hi,
Did you go ahead and buy the Element???
We our original owners of a 2012 Element 26 SRL and have over 60,000 miles on it.
Note that most of the people that responded to your posts do not have an Element and are just basing their opinions on the previous posts not from actual owners.

Another happy Element owner here (we have a 2015 26rbss). We've repaired a few minor finish issues and replaced the kitchen faucet, but nothing major. Our biggest problem now is that some decorative lights on the outside have quit working and we can't get replacements.

I'm glad you don't own one either. It's easy to bad mouth / bash something when you don't know what you're talking about.

Apparently it wasn't just me that walked away... Evergreen went the way of the great buffalo. Yours may have been built on Wednesday afternoon... and if so, congratulations. You probably have a good trailer. As stated... the one I intended to buy... went with check in hand... was just so poorly done that I walked after a short inspection. If that offends you in some way... you'll just have to be offended. I have a White Hawk... There are many written complaints about that brand. I'm not wetting my pants because someone else doesn't like them. At least the company is still around.

2012 Evergreen Element
I purchased a used 2012 Element in November, 2012. I have no idea what the previous owner's dissatisfaction was that led him to trade it in after only a couple of months use, but I'm sure glad he did. Besides the regular problems that occur with homes-on-wheels, after racking up about 30G miles, we're very happy with our purchase. The only thing I would caution a new buyer about is the vinyl upholstery. It seems there was a bad batch of material used on some models in the 2012 series.
The interior design and craftsmanship of the Element surpass any trailer I've come across, except the Airstream. The aerodynamically designed exterior is unique, beautiful and lends itself to easy towing. I tow mine with ease with a VW Touareg TDI. I never cease to get compliments on my unit and, til this day, I have never run across another Element on the road.
Anyway, my experience with the Element has be absolutely great. The only reservation I would have about buying an Element today is the fact that Evergreen is out of business. Some things, such as windows, may be very difficult to replace if needed.
