Our Lance is a two step even with a 3.5” lift. The floor is not elevated, and only the holding tanks are enclosed and heated. But this means the slide is elevated, and the rollers are sitting on a short wall instead of the floor, which is not the best.

Having a lower profile trailer is more beneficial in towing than anything else.

I would like more clearance as well in order to work underneath. I'm already at 13'4" so I don't dare. The big hole could work in some instances like a pit at a Valvoline oil change location with the tires still on the ground.

Hmmmm..... Ice is pretty level.... not many campsites are!

I got to look in one at an RV site. Pretty cool, but he couldn't get it level while lowered. Well insulated, though.

Set it up, cut your ice holes, and fish in luxury for a week or two!

I know people for whom that would be their idea of heaven. I would die of boredom. But to each his own.

Why not just raise the ground?

Good idea. Just wait until the earth rotates a little and the ground will be higher.
