When I was in high school and had my first job which included driving large trucks for pick ups and deliveries, my buddy, another 16 year old told me that while driving a big truck which doesn’t stop properly you should alway honk twice before passing thru the intersection. This way other drivers know you are coming thru. I never subscribed to that “suggestion” so I have almost always driven defensively.

The flashing green light as a pre warning if a pending yellow light is a great idea but with only a 3 second pre yellow warning and only a 3 second yellow light the total time seems short. Seems like there should be more interstate commonality of time standards for yellow light times at each speed limit.
