ZEP ?

WATCHED lots of good and bad reviews on U TUBE about using ZEP floor polish on a fiberglass RV. Would like to hear from any of you who have actually used it.
WHAT DO YOU THINK?

Removing all the oxidation , from the coach and applying the ZEP was a lot of work , took over a week . Coach looked fantastic for best part of three seasons with just washing , now it would appear to need a complete re-do .

Would other wax/polishes, be easier or last longer ? I can't say as Zep was the first treatment I tried .

Been using it for 6 years and absolutely love it. The detractors either have never used it or did not do the necessary prep before applying. Just my opinion. Chuck

Yes, I have been using Zep to replace the peeling clear coat paint from the Gel Coat on my rig (the white areas only) for about 7 years.

Adding a coat each year seems to keep the Zep Wax from deteriorating. It takes us about 1 hour to do so.

Removal of the Zep for total replacement is time consuming.

But, Zep does almost perfectly match the original shine of Clear Coat Paint on Gel Coat for us. I have applied it next to a Clear Coated Panel to verify.

Waxing a couple of times per year, using a buffer, is more intense effort than applying and maintaining Zep for me.

YMMV

I have not used Zep on the color coated painted areas.

I just don't understand using industrial FLOOR wax on a RV.
There are a lot of waxs out there that are DESIGNED FOR FIBERGLASS !!
Would you put floor wax on your Corvette ??
Your RV probably cost more than that corvette does.
Just my opinion.
