Awning pull strap grommets?
Has anyone been able to source the rubber grommets for a carefree slide topper pull strap? You know, the round grommet that goes in the loop at the end of the strap to snap it into the keeper clip?

You might have to order the whole strap.

Even if you could buy them separate they are sewn in so it wouldn't help. They sell replacements on Amazon and it's easy to just change the whole strap.

They’re not sewn in, they are rubber. I have not seen a replacement strap that includes the grommet, hence my original question.

Cut a same size wooden dowel and slip it in there. or anything about the same diameter. You could trim one off of a awning light hook.

Without a picture we are guessing what you have. I bought new straps for all of the awnings on our coach. The strap for the main awning looks like this - has a little rubber inside the loop. For $8 maybe it's worth a try?

I’ve never seen a replacement awning strap that DID NOT have the rubber reinforcement sewn in. Perhaps we’re talking at crossed purposes. Could you post a picture of what you’re trying to replace?

I re-read the OP and I'm not aware that a slide topper has a strap. Mine don't. So obviously he's talking about something different.

Our Omega slide awnings pull on out past the slide to create an awning over the windows. They have pull straps!

My interpretation of a "topper" is one that is attached to the slide and the coach and covers only the slide top, automatically, not the window. Otherwise it's an awning. Until we see a pic from the OP we'll never know.

Update with pic
Sorry for the big delay, I was away for a bit.
Here’s a pic of the rubber grommet in the pull end of the awning pull straps. I know the straps are available everywhere (just need to figure out the right lengths), Im just looking for the grommet that goes in the loop and allows you to snap the loose end in the keeper clips to keep from blowing around. Hope I am clear this time.

I've not seen one like that before. Maybe it's specific to County Coach?
